- March 2023 - Intellian, a provider of satellite communication solutions, opened its second facility in South Korea to meet customer demands and growth as a business. This facility would increase Intellian's production capacity and power its growth trajectory. The new 20,575 sq. m campus gives Intellian product availability for maritime, land, and government markets, and the new production line for phased array flat panel antennas is ready for mass production from Q3 2023. Other facilities include production lines for LEO user terminals, L-band terminals, and ground antenna systems for LEO and MEO networks.
- September 2022 - South Korean satellite service provider, KT SAT, and Thales and Leonardo joint company, Thales Alenia Space, signed a contract for the KOREASAT 6A communications satellite. The new satellite would replace KOREASAT 6 and offer fixed satellite service (FSS) and broadcasting satellite service (BSS) to South Korea.
