• January 2024 - Agfa and EFI proudly announced that they entered a global strategic partnership to leverage each other's cutting-edge technologies. The collaboration between two industry leaders marked a significant milestone in the wide-format inkjet printing arena. Within the partnership framework, Agfa will integrate EFI's roll-to-roll system into its offerings, while EFI will incorporate Agfa's high-end hybrid inkjet printers into its suite of solutions.
• October 2023 - Kodi Collective revealed that it had added LSC Print Solutions' long-run offset print facility in Maple Grove, MN, to its array of print services. This move expands Kodi Collective's offerings to include long-run offset print, complementing its short- and medium-run offset print, digital print, marketing procurement, and creative production services.

• February 2024: Kuhn Corp Print & Packaging strategically moved to fortify its position in the sign and display sector by successfully acquiring Regal Signs & Designs from its original owners. This acquisition is in line with Kuhn's commitment to expanding its signage operations and meeting growing customer demand, and it signifies a period of strategic growth for the company.
• December 2023: Panther Premier Print Solutions announced its recent acquisition of Advertising Arts, a company with a long-standing history of 74 years providing custom signage, decals, vehicle graphics, apparel, and promotional solutions.
• July 2023: Brother UK, a business technology solutions provider, launched a first-to-market multifunction printer as resellers move to support businesses wanting to produce high-quality signage and banners. The new MFC-J6959DW device is the first non-specialist, color inkjet printer proposing firms a way to create visuals, from sales banners to promotional signage.

• September 2022 - Westrock Company acquired the HP PageWide T1190 inkjet digital press. The digital press will complement the company's existing offset litho, flexo preprint, flexo direct print, and sheet-fed digital printing operations across its corrugated box plants and specialty facilities.
• February 2022 - Smurfit Kappa completed a significant investment in its new Design2Market Factory unique facility, creating a fast and seamless development process from packaging design, which includes a digital printer and dies cutter, provides rapid prototyping for pilot production, industry-leading packaging performance analysis, and field lab facilities under one roof.

• April 2024: BloomPack entered a strategic partnership with Valmet, a prominent Finnish firm known for its expertise in process technologies, automation, and services, and Omya, a global leader in industrial mineral production and chemical product distribution. Through this partnership, BloomPack plans to spearhead innovations in paper production, notably crafting advanced coated white top liner grades that set new benchmarks in the industry.
• October 2023: International technology group ANDRITZ announced that it would supply a complete fiber preparation line for a greenfield plant in the Toshka area in the south of Egypt. The pioneering and eco-friendly plant will produce high-density and medium-density fiberboard (HDF/MDF) from date palm fronds, a material normally considered farm waste.

• July 2024: Debut, a leader in biotech beauty, unveiled BiotechXBeautyLabs. This innovative venture specializes in formulation development and contract manufacturing, focusing on next-generation, high-performing, and sustainable biotech products. BiotechXBeautyLabs partnered with global beauty brands through custom formulations and a curated selection of clinically-backed white-label offerings. • April 2024: Lubrizol, a United States-based manufacturer of personal care ingredients, inked a memorandum of understanding with China's Proya Cosmetics, aiming to fast-track the creation of beauty products tailored to market demands. Capitalizing on a two-decade partnership, the two firms plan to harness their unique strengths to craft and promote beauty products that align with local market preferences and regulatory standards.

• May 2024: Kraftpal reported that its Saudi Arabian mega factory project, aligned with the nation's Vision 2030 initiative, will be completed during the forecast period. Once operational, this facility would be a mega-plant wholly focused on producing corrugated pallets, with a staggering annual output capacity of 10 million pallets. Leveraging advanced technology, the factory would address the surging demand for innovative and eco-friendly pallet solutions and aim to reduce pallet costs and carbon emissions in global logistics. KraftPal's lightweight corrugated pallets present a greener substitute to traditional wooden pallets, further diminishing the carbon footprint.
• January 2024: Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), finalized its investment in the Middle East Paper Company (MEPCO), headquartered in Jeddah. Through a capital increase and subscription to new shares, PIF has secured a 23.08% stake in MEPCO. This investment underscores the kingdom's and PIF's commitment to sustainability. It empowers MEPCO to enhance its production capacity, improve operational efficiency, and champion environmental sustainability with its recyclable offerings, including paper goods.

• July 2024 - Gerresheimer announced the acquisition of Bormioli Pharma for EUR 800 (USD 893.57 million) million. Bormioli Pharma produces primary packaging made of glass and plastic and dispensing systems for the pharmaceutical industry
• June 2024 - SCHOTT Hungary Kft. inaugurated production for pharmaceutical packaging products in Lukácsháza, Hungary. The facility will manufacture prefillable sterile glass syringes, doubling SCHOTT Pharma's production capacity for these products.
• March 2024 - Schott Pharma announced plans to build a new production site for syringes in Wilson, North Carolina, USA. The facility will produce prefillable polymer syringes for mRNA drugs and prefillable glass syringes for treatments such as diabetes or obesity."

• April 2024: Refresco, a prominent global provider of beverage solutions for major brands and retailers, finalized its acquisition of VBC Bottling Company, a premium beverage contract manufacturer based in the United States.
• January 2024: Novelis inked a fresh deal with Ardagh Metal Packaging USA. The agreement entails Novelis supplying aluminum beverage packaging sheets to Ardagh's North American metal production sites. Notably, this marks Novelis's third significant contract in under seven months, solidifying its presence in North America's beverage packaging sector.

• August 2024 - Mauser Packaging Solutions, one of the global leaders in industrial packaging and lifecycle solutions, has acquired a Pinetown-based business in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. This business specializes in manufacturing, selling, and supplying plastic drums, including significant rigid plastic variants. 
• May 2024 - PT. SCHÜTZ Container Systems Indonesia inaugurated a new extrusion blow molding line at its Karawang facility. The company produces its PE bung barrel, the F1 220 litres, utilizing a sophisticated multi-layer process. This addition seamlessly integrates with Schütz'sestablished IBC product lineup. 

• January 2024 - The Fedrigoni group, a speciality paper manufacturer for luxury packaging and other creative applications, self-adhesive labels and materials, and RFID and connectivity solutions acquired Arjowiggins China. The paper factory in Quzhou manufactures transparent papers sold under the Gateway and Sylvicta brands for applications such as industrial design and graphics for food, consumer electronics, or luxury packaging located in the Zhejiang Province.
• December 2023 - The State Bank of India invested in the paper packaging industry by injecting INR 49.99 crore (USD 6.04 million) into Canpac Trends Private Limited, a company based in Ahmedabad specialising in paper-based packaging solutions. SBI invested in Canpac Trends with a view to capital appreciation, highlighting the growth and profitability potential of the paper packaging industry.
