With a commanding 20.5% share of the worldwide market, Mexico exported 716,163 tons of these citrus fruits, raking in a revenue of USD 838 million.
- October 2022: SiCar Farms, one of Mexico's largest lime suppliers, has acquired 4,000 acres in the southeast region of Mexico. The company is constructing a state-of-the-art packinghouse facility on this land. Electric GUSS incorporates a spot spraying weed detection system that identifies chlorophyll in weeds, spraying only where detection occurs. This technology significantly reduces the overall application amount, leading to material savings of up to 90%, depending on weed pressure.
- August 2023: The Massey Ferguson launched 500R Series Sprayer in North America at the 2023 Farm Progress Show. The sprayer features two models namely the MF 525R with a 740-gallon capacity and 212 HP, and the MF 530R with an 860-gallon capacity and 235 HP.
- June 2023: Ecorobotix launched the precision sprayer, ARA, in North America. Using AI technology and its unique ultra-high precision spraying system, ARA can recognize individual plants, classify them in real-time and spray the weeds with a precision of 2.4x2.4in without affecting surrounding crops or soil.
- May 2024: Brazil eliminated import tariffs on specific types of rice until the end of 2024. This measure aims to prevent shortages and reduce prices following floods in Rio Grande do Sul state, a major rice-producing region. The exemption applies to HS codes 10061092 and 10062020, which previously incurred a 9% tariff, and 10063021, which had a 10.8% tariff.

- January 2024: ADAMA unveiled five new cereal fungicides in Europe, targeting critical diseases that affect crop yields during their reproductive phases. The newly introduced fungicides are Soratel, Maxentis, Forapro, Maganic, and Avastel.
