- September 2022: Corteva Agriscience agreed to acquire Symborg Inc. to strengthen its global presence with a strong distribution network.
- March 2021: Symborg opened a new hydrolysis plant in Spain, with a total investment of USD 28.0 million. The plant is designed for the manufacturing of sustainable products for agriculture, such as biofertilizers, biostimulants, and biocontrol solutions that are imported to the United States.
- February 2022: Plant Response Inc. was acquired by The Mosaic Company, which is a global fertilizer manufacturer. This acquisition strengthened the company's global presence. Through the acquisition, the company develops new products and solutions for the customers in a sustainable way.
- September 2021: Tradecorp launched Biimore worldwide, a biostimulant obtained from a plant fermentation process. Biimore is made up of a unique combination of primary and secondary compounds, L-α amino acids, vitamins, sugars, and traces of other natural compounds.
- May 2021: Plant Response Inc. announced its acquisition of WISErg, which is a startup that upcycles nutrients from recovered food for use in fertilizer and nutrient-efficient products that enhance plant and soil health.
September 2022: Rizobacter Argentina SA merges Bioceres Crop Solutions with Marrone Bio Innovations for developing sustainable crop solutions worldwide.
May 2021: Rizobacter Argentina SA launched a new specialty fertilizer Microstar Bio, where biologicals are combined with the fertilizers. The product contains bacillus strains incorporated in the micro granules and helps in root growth and nutrient use efficiency.
January 2021: Lallemand Inc. acquired Biotec BetaGlucans AS (BBG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ArticZymes Technologies ASA (AZT) company specialized in the development, production, and sales of high purity beta-glucan products, from yeast cell walls.
In June 2021, Petrokimia Gresik signed an MoU for gas purchase with Kangean Energy Indonesia for an ammonia-urea plant.
In October 2020, PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaya Palembang carried out a soft launch of Cassava NPK Fertilizer in Sidokerto Village, Bumi Ratu Nuban District, Central Lampung Regency, to support cassava productivity and build an integrated industry in the region.

- May 2024: The Association of Vanilla Exporters of Uganda (VANEX) advocated for diversifying vanilla supply sources to prevent disruptions. They highlighted Uganda's high-quality vanilla, which matches Madagascar's flavor and offers a unique profile with up to 4.55% vanillin content.
- March 2024: Madagascar, Papua New Guinea (PNG), and Comoros have agreed to establish a world association for vanilla-growing countries. This decision was made during a trilateral meeting held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on the sidelines of the World Trade Organization (WTO) 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13).
- August 2023: Mahindra Tractors, a division of the Mahindra Group, launched its new range of tractors called Mahindra OJA. The company unveiled this product line at Futurescape, an event in Cape Town, South Africa.
- July 2023: John Deere acquired Smart Apply Inc., a precision spraying equipment company that developed the Smart Apply Intelligent Spray Control System (an upgrade kit that can improve the precision and performance of virtually any air-blast sprayer used in orchard, vineyard, and tree nursery spraying applications). Smart Apply is primarily sold through John Deere dealers in South Africa.
- August 2022: As part of plans to support and boost the cotton industry in South Africa, the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) and its entity, the Technology Innovation Agency(TIA), have together supplied farmers with two cotton baler machines to put an end to manual cotton baling.
- August 2024: The Prime Minister of India has launched 109 new and hybrid varieties across 61 crops, including millets such as barley, sorghum, pearl millet, and finger millet. These hybrids are aimed to enhance yields and improve quality, enabling farmers to secure better prices and increase their income.
- January 2024: The Indo-US Millets Initiative, a collaboration between India and the United States, aims to enhance the awareness, production, and consumption of nutrient-rich millets. This initiative brings together key stakeholders in the millet sector, including non-profits Sorghum United and the North American Millets Alliance (NAMA), India's national India Millet Initiative, and the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute from the University of Nebraska.
- July 2023: The India-Africa International Millet Conference took place in Nairobi, Kenya intending to raise public awareness about South-South exchange and collaboration opportunities. It also focused on the nutritional and health benefits of millets and their suitability for cultivation under challenging conditions exacerbated by climate change.
