Market Trends of Military Fitness Training Equipment Industry
Mobile Fitness Training Equipment Segment is Expected to Register the Highest CAGR
Mobile fitness training equipment, designed for easy transport and deployment, caters directly to the needs of soldiers, adapting to their camps' locations. The surge in demand for such equipment directly responds to the growing trend of soldiers being stationed far from their traditional training grounds. This shift is propelled by escalating cross-border conflicts, heightened regional disputes, and instances of military involvement in territorial disagreements.
The military increasingly gravitates towards training with portable outdoor fitness gear, emphasizing readiness for adverse conditions. A notable example is BeaverFit's participation in IHRSA 2022, held in Miami Beach in July 2022. They unveiled two key solutions at the event: the Nomad Beyond Trailer and a custom Shred Shed, complete with a modular rig. This marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time a mobile training solution was showcased at a fitness tradeshow.
North America Dominates the Market During the Forecast Period
Amid escalating global conflicts, the U.S. defense forces are increasingly deployed worldwide, responding to rising tensions between Middle Eastern and European nations. To maintain readiness, the U.S. Army mandates rigorous fitness tests. Their Army Physical Fitness program centers on two key components: the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) and weigh-ins.
Looking ahead to 2029, the U.S. aims to bolster its military personnel numbers and elevate fitness standards. A significant step was taken in September 2022 when, after a 12-year development period, the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) was officially adopted. This comprehensive test includes exercises like deadlifts, hand-release push-ups, standing power throws, sprint-drag-carry, leg tucks or planks, and a 2-mile run designed to evaluate abroad spectrum of combat-relevant fitness metrics.
Further underlining this commitment, in March 2023, BeaverFit secured a contract from the U.S. Armed Forces. Their mandate included delivering a wide array of equipment and infrastructure solutions. Notably, BeaverFit manufactured over 23,000 lanes of ACFT equipment, supplied 2,000 expeditionary container gyms, and facilitated the conversion of indoor and outdoor spaces into dedicated physical training areas for the Army.
