• June 2023: Saint-Gobain signed an agreement to acquire cement board producer Hume Cemboard Industries. Through this acquisition, the company strengthened its lightweight product offering in Malaysia.
• February 2023: Everest Industries Limited intends to invest USD 22.5 million to establish a manufacturing unit on a 20-acre site in the Badanaguppe Kellambali KIADB layout of Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, India. The new facility aims to produce 72,000 metric tons (MT) of fiber cement board and 19,000 MT of Rapicon wall panels. This state-of-the-art, highly automated plant is projected to generate approximately 127 job opportunities.

• May 2023: Graymont announced the acquisition of GCCP Resources Ltd's Gridland limestone quarry located in Ipoh, Perak, to provide essential lime and limestone solutions to customers in essential industries across Malaysia. Through the acquisition, the company has strengthened its market presence in Malaysia.
• April 2022: Imerys announced new capacity expansion and optimization investments in the Sylacauga (AL) plant in Alabama, United States. Through the expansion, the company strengthened its market presence by supporting the growing demand for ground calcium carbonate products.

• December 2023: Roseburg sold its particle board plant in Simsboro, Louisiana, to Kronospan. This is because Roseburg is engaged in the composites industry, manufacturing MDF and particle boards at various plants across North America.
• July 2022: Kastamonu Entegre collaborated with Siempelkamp to set up a new particle board manufacturing plant in Kastamonu, Turkey. This collaboration was intended to strengthen the production capacity of Kastamonu Entegre in Turkey, which further serves the foreign and indigenous markets.
• January 2022: Roseburg Forest Products announced the closure of its particle board plant in Douglas County. This move was aimed at spending on new technology in its western manufacturing operations.

• December 2023: Century Plyboards (India) Ltd inaugurated India's largest integrated wood panel manufacturing plant at Badvel in Andhra Pradesh. The company invested about INR 1,000 crore (~USD 121 million) in the construction of the new plant.
• April 2023: Kronospan announced an investment of USD 350 million for the construction of a new Oriented Strand Board (OSB) manufacturing plant on its 460-acre site in Oxford, Alabama, United States.
• September 2022: LP Building Solutions completed a million-dollar conversion and expansion project to produce LP SmartSide Trim and Siding products at its New Limerick, Maine facility.

• May 2023: Sika AG acquired MBCC business to strengthen its footprint across all regions and reinforce its range of products and services across the entire construction life cycle.
• Sept 2022: Fosroc appointed Mannai Trading Company as its exclusive distributor to supply the most comprehensive range of high-performance construction chemicals serving the construction, infrastructure, oil, and gas industries in Qatar.

• In November 2021, Fox Marble signed a joint venture agreement with the Al Bab Al Mumtaz Group in the United Arab Emirates. Under this agreement, Fox Marble will supply marble tiles and slabs processed in its factory in Kosovo to Al Bab Al Mumtaz Group for sale via its range of outlets in the region.

• November 2022: LSR Group entered the insulation market with the production of 'LSR TERMO' aerated concrete insulation, which is environment friendly and has high fire resistance, lightness, and durability.
• May 2022: Holcim group's business in India, i.e., 63.11% holding in Ambuja Cement, which has a 50.05% stake in ACC, along with a 4.48% direct stake in ACC, was acquired by the Adani Group.

• In February 2022, Element Six UK Ltd collaborated with II-VI Inc. Through this collaboration, II-VI licenses Element Six's intellectual property and necessary equipment would produce high-quality single-crystal diamonds to expand its core competency in diamond technology.
• In July 2021, Element Six UK LTD and the University of Warwick entered a partnership to develop the next generation of synthetic diamond-enabled technologies. Under this partnership, Element Six applied its renowned expertise and capabilities in advanced material solutions.

• November 2022: Solvay and Orbia announced a framework agreement for a joint venture to produce battery materials creating the largest capacity in North America. The total investment is estimated to be around USD 850 million, partially funded by a USD 178 million grant from the US Department of Energy to Solvay to build a facility in Augusta, Georgia. Solvay and Orbia intend to use two production sites in the southeastern United States, one for raw materials and the other for finished goods. Both plants will be fully operational by 2026.
• October 2022: Solvay has introduced the SolvaLite SF200 surfacing film, a light tack film for paintable 'Class A' body panels. From October 17 to 20, 2022, the new product was officially introduced at the Composite and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) in Anaheim, California. SolvaLite SF200 is designed for large body panels on premium sports and other high-end vehicles. It is an addition to Solvay's new SolvaLite 714 Prepregs, which are available in various unidirectional carbon fiber reinforced and woven-fabric formats for automotive and high-volume press-cure applications.
• February 2022: Teijin Automotive Technologies announced the commencement of commercial operation of its new manufacturing facility in Wujin National Hi-Tech Industrial Zone, China. The company also unveiled the construction of its third plant in China, in Shenyang, to cater to the surging demand for electric vehicles.

• October 2024: Shinagawa Refractories Co., Ltd. has acquired the entire issued share capital of Gouda Refractories B.V. from Andus Group B.V. Gouda Refractories, based in the Netherlands, is a prominent manufacturer of alumina refractories and offers a range of refractory services.
• March 2024: RHI Magnesita N.V. declared its plan to purchase Resco Group, valuing the deal at an enterprise value of up to USD 430 million. Resco Group, headquartered in the United States, specializes in producing alumina monolithics and offers diverse refractories. These include both basic and non-basic types, shaped and unshaped, catering to industries such as petrochemicals, cement, aluminum, and steel-making.
• October 2023: RHI Magnesita N.V. acquired the refractory businesses of the Preiss-Daimler Group (“P-D Refractories”), located in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia. P-D Refractories produces alumina-based refractories tailored for industrial applications across various process industries. Their diverse product lineup includes high-alumina specialties and bricks made from bauxite, andalusite, silica, fireclay, and magnesite.
