  • September 2020: ADM launched Acron T textured pea proteins, namely, Prolite MeatTEX textured wheat protein and Prolite MeatXT non-textured wheat protein. These highly functional proteins improve the texture and density of meat alternatives.

  • August 2024: Tate & Lyle launched Optimizer Stevia 8.10, a new stevia formulation designed to provide manufacturers with a budget-friendly sweetener alternative. Optimizer Stevia 8.10 closely mimics the taste of sugar, even at elevated sugar replacement ratios. This stevia variant is more economical, delivering enhanced value over other premium stevia sweeteners.
  • June 2024: Azelis, a prominent player in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients sector, signed a distribution agreement with BASF. BASF is known for developing sustainable, high-quality nutritional ingredients. Effective immediately, Azelis will distribute BASF's range of emulsifiers, Medium-Chain Triglyceride (MCT), phytosterol ester, and Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). These ingredients are primarily used in bakery products, beverages, and nutritional enhancements for both the retail and food service sectors. 
  • June 2024: Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients sector, announced a new distribution agreement with Tate & Lyle. This partnership offers healthier ingredient solutions for food and beverages, targeting customers in Türkiye.
  • June 2024: Nestle allocated USD 29.1 million to a new technology that produces noodles with reduced fat and salt content.
  • March 2024: Amano Foods launched a new specially made freeze-dried miso soup. The product is available in different variants containing veggies, seasonings, and spices. 
  • January 2024: GEA helped Nestlé reduce steam consumption by 75% at its new infant formula plant in Nunspeet, Netherlands. GEA equipped the milk powder line with advanced process and heat pump technology. Nestlé reported that innovative heat recovery from the spray dryer and other processes led to significant energy reduction and lower carbon emissions. 
  • October 2023: Nestlé introduced its proprietary blend, “Sinergity.” It combines probiotics with six human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) to support age-adapted infant development and unlock specific health benefits.
  • September 2023: In Sweden, BioGaia launched Prodentis for kids, an apple-flavored lozenge with probiotics and xylitol for oral health. The company claims the product is available via BioGaia's Swedish webshop and MEDS and Apotea online pharmacies. 
  • June 2023: Nestlé Romania integrated 150 new products into its Nestlé Health Science portfolio. This portfolio has eight products categorized under the Consumer Care, Medical Nutrition, and Resource range. The Malnutrition segment includes the Nutren range, featuring Nutren Junior and NutrenOptimum, which provide a nutrient-rich diet for children (including year-old infants) and adults. The allergy products category includes ALTHERA, ALFARÉ, and ALFAMINO, which are extensively hydrolyzed formulas.
  • July 2023: Camlin Fine Sciences Ltd. (CFS) launched its vanillin premium product—adorr in North America.
  • June 2023: Solvay unveiled the names of the two independent, publicly traded companies, Solvay and Synesqo. Synesqo is the new name of its specialty company, which provides a wide range of solutions to different industries.
  • June 2023: Merck expanded its production capacity for highly purified reagents at its site in Nantong, China, a central Yangtze River Delta transportation hub. The approximate € 70 million investment allows large-scale manufacturing of high-purity reagents for quality control and testing for biopharma customers, increasing annual output by several thousand tons.
  • May 2024: Nutella partnered with Lavazza to launch Nutella & Lavazza’s biscuits and coffee ‘Perfect Match.’ Lavazza also offers the Espresso Barista coffee range, which uses beans from Central and South America, Africa, and Asia and has aromatic notes of flowers, cocoa, and wood.
  • April 2024: Nescafe and Arnott teamed up to launch another Tim Tam-inspired drink, the Nescafe White Choc Mocha. The company states that the new flavors combine creamy coffee with the white chocolate taste of Tim Tam biscuits.
  • February 2024: L’OR Espresso entered a new global partnership with Ferrari. The collaboration sees L’OR Espresso embark on a new chapter alongside Ferrari in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
  • November 2023: Excel Vite Inc. launched a revolutionary pet supplement, EVFurryAid PRO, at the Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations (FAVA) Congress 2023. EVFurryAid PRO is a natural health ingredient containing combinations of ProVitamin A carotenoids, vitamin E tocotrienols, phytosterols, and other nutrient components of palm oil, with no preservatives added.
  • October 2023: Kensing LLC acquired Advanced Organic Materials (AOM), a maker of natural vitamin E, mixed tocopherols, and phytosterols with facilities in Spain and Argentina. The company claimed that this acquisition marked an opportunity for both companies to leverage their combined capabilities to enhance performance and expand their geographic presence.
  • August 2023: Archer Daniels Midland Company expanded its footprint in the Chinese pet market with the introduction of its Ganador, Minino, and Protexin brands. The brand Minino offers a wide range of pet food products that are fortified with various ingredients, including vitamin E.
  • April 2024: InnovaFeed, a producer of insect ingredients for high-quality animal feed, pet food, and plant nutrition, inaugurated its North American Insect Innovation Center (NAIIC) in Decatur, Illinois. This pilot plant is the first step of the company’s planned industrial expansion in North America. The company aims to scale up the production and commercialization of insect protein in the US.
  • January 2024: Danish pet food and treat startup Globe Buddy introduced a super-premium dog food, Globe Buddy Brown, incorporating insect-derived protein. The insect protein used in Globe Buddy Brown is claimed to be sourced from black soldier fly larvae supplied by the Danish insect protein producer Enorm.
  • April 2023: MiAlgae, a biotech company, launched its omega-3 product NaturAlgae, targeted at the fish feed and pet food sectors. NaturAlgae is a dry powder with a high concentration of DHA and other oils that can be supplemented into aquafeed and pet food formulations.
  • February 2023: Kerry Group partnered with Caldic BV and Azelis Group to distribute Kerry products to selected customers across Europe. Caldic BV operates in South Europe, the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics, while Azelis operates in Germany, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe within the food, beverage, and meat sectors.
