- March 2024: UNIVAR SOLUTIONS LLC, a global solutions provider of specialized ingredients and chemicals, announced the conclusion of a new distribution contract with Arxada covering a complete portfolio of biocides and preservatives used in a wide range of industrial applications. This new agreement enhances Univar Solutions’ product offerings in Brazil’s paints, coatings, and lubricants markets, adding cost-effective, highly versatile antimicrobials and performance additives specifically designed for preservation and microbial control.

- August 2022: Veolia Water Technologies and Bridgnorth Aluminium entered a collaboration agreement through which Veolia Water would assist with water treatment processes and compliance services at the production site in Shropshire. Through this collaboration, Veolia Water Technologies provides servicing chemical supply and Legionella compliance for its cooling towers and process water treatment systems.
- On January 2022, Sun Chemical acquired SAPICI. strengthening supply strategy and adding capabilities to develop and create new polymers for the company's whole array of inks, coatings, and laminating adhesives.
- On January 2022, Encres DUBUIT acquired POLY-INK strengthening its product portfolio by adding conductive Inks. The company has combined nanomaterial scientific competence with application engineering capabilities through this acquisition.
- In May 2019, Baker Hughes, a GE company, announced the introduction of its DELTA-TEQ low-pressure-impact drilling fluid, a non-aqueous formulation that reduces the hydraulic impact with an advanced formulation of specialized clay and polymers.
- In July 2018, TETRA Technologies Inc. and Halliburton, a global oil services company, announced that they entered a global joint marketing and development agreement for the sale and distribution of TETRA's proprietary TETRA CS Neptune completion fluids. Based on their respective technologies and resource capabilities, the collaborative agreement fosters and drives the development of other oil and gas drilling and completion fluids.
- In February 2022, Element Six UK Ltd collaborated with II-VI Inc. Through this collaboration, II-VI licenses Element Six's intellectual property and necessary equipment would produce high-quality single-crystal diamonds to expand its core competency in diamond technology.

- January 2024: Automotive Glass Experts (AGE) announced a strategic supplier agreement with Johnson Window Films to enhance its offerings and provide a comprehensive range of window film applications as a complementary service in its workstations.
- August 2023: AP Corporation gained one of the only 3M window film dealers in the greater Miami area by acquiring window tinting company Solar Tint Inc. to serve businesses, homeowners, and vehicle owners from three locations in Maryland, North Carolina, and Florida.
- February 2023: Eastman Chemical Company acquired Ai-Red Technology (Dalian) Co. Ltd, a manufacturer and supplier of paint protection and window film for auto and architectural markets in Asia-Pacific. This acquisition demonstrates Eastman's commitment to driving growth in performance films and the paint protection and window film markets. The investment further strengthens the company's ability to deliver consistent, superior value as a specialty materials company and expands the service level in China and Asia-Pacific. This site will align with Eastman's performance film operations and its high standard of quality supply into the market.
- April 2022: China Baowu Steel Group announced the acquisition of Xinyu Iron & Steel Co. (XISCO), a state-owned steel manufacturer in Jiangxi province, China, with the transfer of 51% of the shares enhancing Baowu's overall steel production capacity as XISCO is the largest steel manufacturer in Jiangxi Province, with a total output of around 9.89 million tons in 2020.
- January 2022: Tata Steel Ltd's crude steel production increased by 16% Y-o-Y to 14.16 million tons at the end of the third quarter on December 31, 2021. Its total deliveries increased by 4% at 13 MT Y-o-Y on the back of continued economic recovery.
- January 2022: MariMed Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire Green Growth Group Inc., holder of a provisional Cannabis Craft License in Illinois.

- January 2023: UBE Corporation announced the expansion of its polyimide hollow fiber production facilities at its UBE Chemical Factory and gas separation membrane module production facilities at its Sakai Factory to meet the rapidly increasing demand for gas separation chambers, especially CO2 separation membranes. The two new facilities, which will increase the production capacity by around 1.8 times, are planned to go into operation in the first half of FY 2025.
- January 2022: Toray Industries Inc. developed a polymeric separation membrane module for selective or efficient hydrogen removal from mixtures of gases that contain hydrogen. The CO2 emissions of hydrogen treatment processes and the number of modules needed are more than halved with this new module.
