All-Terrain Crane Market Analysis

The All-Terrain Crane Market size is estimated at USD 17.34 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach USD 24.32 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 5.65% during the forecast period (2024-2029).

The demand for all-terrain cranes remains consistently high year after year due to their versatility and mobility. These cranes are suitable for off-road use and can easily navigate rough terrains. The construction industry, in particular, has been a key driver of demand for these cranes, as they are essential for lifting heavy loads and transporting materials to higher areas. In addition to the construction industry, all-terrain mobile cranes are also in high demand in industries such as oil and gas, mining, and infrastructure development.

These cranes are ideal for projects that require lifting and moving heavy machinery and equipment in remote locations that traditional cranes may not be suitable for. Their ability to move over uneven terrain makes them essential for construction sites with demanding environmental conditions. These cranes are designed to handle a variety of tasks, from lifting heavy loads to moving materials horizontally across a construction site. This versatility makes them a cost-effective solution for companies looking to streamline their operations and increase efficiency.

For this reason, several large-scale project companies provide great demand for all-terrain mobile cranes to expand their business growth.

In March 2024, Liebherr Group, one of the largest construction machine manufacturers in the world, announced that its Saudi unit secured a major order of 55 new all-terrain cranes, the biggest order in the company's history, from Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment Company (AMHEC).

Unveiling the order, Liebherr said all these new mobile cranes will boast lifting capacities in the range of 100 to 800 tonnes. The first of these cranes will be shipped to the Kingdom in a few months. AMHEC, a major crane and heavy haulage company, placed this extraordinary order in December last year and was likely to receive the first of the cranes within the next few months.
