- April 2023: K+S has acquired a 75% share of the fertilizer business of South African trading company Industrial Commodities Holdings (Pty) Ltd (ICH). In addition to expanding the core business, K+S is strengthening its operations in southern and eastern Africa as a result of this acquisition. The newly acquired fertilizer business in the future to be operated in a joint venture, under the name of FertivPty Ltd.
- January 2023: ICL has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with General Mills, in which it will be the supplier of strategic specialty phosphate solutions to General Mills. The long-term agreement will also focus on international expansion.
- May 2022: ICL launched three new NPK formulations of Solinure, a product with increased trace elements to optimize yields.

- May 2022: The Minister of Climate Change and Environment in the UAE launched the waste-to-feed project by Circa Biotech that farms black soldier fly (BSF) larvae, fed by food leftovers, and turns them into animal proteins, organic fertilizers, and oils.
- March 2022: Qatar, in collaboration with Heenat Salma Farm, launched two interactive tours, 'Discover Organic Farming in the Desert" and "Discover Organic Farming and Sunset at Zeekret," to make people learn about the organic agriculture of 30 different crop varieties in the desert environment.

In January 2022, SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company acquired the ETC Group (ETG) with a 49% stake in the ETG Inputs Holdco Limited for a transaction value of USD 320 million. The agreement is part of SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company's strategy to integrate the value chain and distribution of agri-nutrients markets.
In October 2021, JAS Global Industries expanded its presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by opening a new manufacturing facility in Riyadh. This strategic investment allows JAS to further expand its presence in the Kingdom with the aim of further enhancing its services in KSA.
New product launches, partnerships, expansions, and acquisitions are the major strategies adopted by the leading companies in the market. For instance, in 2016, Thai Central Chemical Public Company Limited expanded the market of NPK compound fertilizer in Myanmar by building a new warehouse for packing the NPK compound fertilizer of TCCC Myanmar Limited (TCCCM), which is TCCC's subsidiary in Thilawa Special Economic Zone in Yangon.
Furthermore, players in the market are focusing on partnerships to increase their brand demand and product portfolio. For instance, in 2021, PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek and PT Pupuk Indonesia Pangan signed an MoU to cooperate with the Bandung Regency Government on the Farming System with Agrosolution (SIBEDAS) program, through which quality fertilizers are supplied to Bandung Regency farmers in Indonesia.
- January 2021: Heliae Agriculture and Rizobacter collaborated to develop innovative soil and crop nutrition technologies that will help the company manufacture better and more efficient solutions, enhancing its product portfolio.
- November 2022: The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) in Vietnam has set a target of raising the proportion of organic fertilizer products authorized for circulation to 25% by 2025.
- October 2022: Nescafe unveils USD 1 billion plan for coffee sustainability, focusing on Vietnam. The Nescafe Plan 2030 will help coffee farmers plant carbon sequestering crops, increase the use of organic fertilizers, improve bio-diversity and provide disease and climate-change-resistant coffee trees.
- April 2022: The Vietnamese government issued a decision to promote environmental protection to 2030 with a vision to 2050. In the decision, the government prioritizes ecological agriculture and organic agriculture, in parallel with the abandonment of inorganic fertilizer, chemical pesticides, and antibiotics in cultivation, animal husbandry, and aquaculture.
- May 2023: Syngenta Crop Protection and FMC Corporation have entered into an agreement to introduce a new herbicide product for controlling grass weeds in rice across Asia. The active ingredient, Tetflupyrolimet, was discovered and developed by FMC with Syngenta's support for rice applications. This herbicide represents the first major product with a novel mode of action (DHODH - HRAC Group 28). As per the agreement, Syngenta will market products containing Tetflupyrolimet mixtures for rice in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea.
- March 2023: Corteva Agriscience has announced the commercial launch of Adavelt active, following recent product registrations in Australia, Canada, and South Korea. Adavelt Active is a new fungicide that employs a novel mode of action to protect crops against a wide range of yield-impacting diseases.
- January 2021: Syngenta launched a crop protection chemical called "APIRO" for consistent control of annual grasses in paddy rice, with the flexibility to apply from pre-emergence up to the 3-leaf stage.
- June 2024: GrowGeneration Corp. has introduced a new B2B portal, HRG Marketplace, through its wholesale division, the Horticultural Rep Group (HRG). As a major distributor in the hydroponic industry, HRG aims to enhance product access and purchasing for its customers and partners across the United States.
- February 2024: GrowGeneration Corp., a major chain of specialty hydroponic and organic garden centers in the United States, announced that Drip Hydro is launching a new powder nutrient line for cultivation. Drip Hydro, known for agricultural innovation, developed this powder nutrient line with a focus on cannabis cultivation.
- June 2023: ICL Group has introduced a new line of water-soluble micronutrient and N-P-K fertilizers in North America. The product range includes Nova FINISH, Nova PULSE, Nova ELEVATE, and Nova FLOW, all formulated to enhance solubility.
- May 2022: Darling Ingredients acquired Fasa Group for USD 560 million to expand its geographical presence and new product offerings in the global blood meal market.
- May 2022: Darling Ingredients Inc. completed the acquisition of Valley Proteins, a major independent rendering company in the United States, for USD 1.1 billion. This acquisition strengthened Darling Ingredients' core business operations.
- June 2024: At a Cotton Council International (CCI) event in New Delhi, US and Indian textile industry leaders emphasized the strengthening trade relationship, with US cotton becoming a preferred choice for Indian spinners. - September 2023: Cotton Inc. has introduced RESTech COTTON technology, a performance sheeting solution. This technology combines comfort, durability, and softness while focusing on sustainability. This innovation is expected to increase cotton demand from the textile industry.
- March 2024: Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), in partnership with Saint-Denis Dairy of the SAS Hotel (LSDH), has introduced Montebello Brasil, a new fresh fruit juice brand. Montebello Brasil offers a 100% natural orange juice product, ensuring the traceability of the oranges.
- October 2023: Mercadona, Spain's leading supermarket chain, has introduced a campaign to promote national produce. As part of this initiative, the company sold citrus fruits, including oranges, sourced from orchards in Valencia, Andalucía, Murcia, Catalonia, and the Canary Islands between 2023-2024.
